Convert-To-Rent (CTR)/Rehabilitation Program Tel.519- 645-7662 This program offers financial assistance to property owners with vacant or unused commercial space to help pay for construction of self-contained rental units to provide affordable housing to low income households.

Rent Bank Services Tel. 519-661-0343 ext. 300 As of January 3, 2006 The Salvation Army, Centre of Hope, administers the Rent Bank program. This program is a one-time interest free loan available to qualified applicants to sustain their tenancies and avoid eviction. All interest-free loans are paid back through a payment plan arranged at the time of application. For more information, regarding criteria and the application process contact the Centre of Hope. Toll Free:1-800-704-6488 The Residential Rehabilitation Assistance Program (RRAP) offers forgivable or repayable loans to upgrade low-income housing to livable standards. Other programs are available to help low-income and older adults, people with disabilities and native peoples live in decent, affordable housing.
