  Affordable Housing Programs

Affordable housing is a priority for the city of London. Through the Investment in Affordable Housing Program, new homes are being created for low-income individuals and families, senior citizens and persons with disabilities. In addition, the City of London encourages partnerships between the private and non-profit sectors to build supportive housing. Since 2005, over 1,200 affordable housing units have been created in the city of London and Middlesex County.

Definition of Affordable Housing
The cost of adequate shelter should not exceed 30% of household income. Housing which costs less than this is considered affordable.
