The day-to-day management of the non-profit and co-operative housing projects will continue to be the responsibility of the Housing Providers with governance of these property management functions provided by their Boards.

Income testing will continue to be the responsibility of the Housing Providers. The Housing Division has entered into agreements with the Housing Providers, in order to have them fulfill this function. Support services for the operation of the Housing Division such as payroll, accounting, risk management, human resources, legal and technology services will be supplied by the appropriate departments of the City of London , who have the capacity to provide these services.

The Housing Division is responsible for maintaining a Centralized Waiting List System for rent-geared-to-income assisted housing and serves as a centralized source of information, application intake and initial eligibility screening.  This is done through the Housing Access Centre.
